Just look back at the track record of every large acquisition by HP/HPE.
EDS, Autonomy,3com,Compaq...etc after a few years they stripped the IP and then write down the value of the asset and then spin it off. Juniper will be no different.

You pay for the sales reach and IP, not the HR, legal, marketing, etc. You cut those and everything else you can, especially after having to cut 10% of your own company and needing immediate returns on the $13 billion.

why would u pay $13B for a company you butcher? talk some sense, people. in any case, shouldn't JNPR employees now be doing their utmost to achieve awesome results, rather than obsessing about BS that may never happen?

I haven't worked much since the deal was announced last year. Don't plan on doing much any time soon. Bosses busy CYA so slackers can and will play!

With Elliott now in the mix at HPE, if the merger does go through they will definitely cull the incoming JNPR herd. DoJ or bust!
