Does AT&T own any part of Direct rv anymore?

DTV is no T-free in terms of the business, etc.
But, T still has a presence with DTV in terms of share ownership - and debt
AT&T got rid of the debt with it's recent transactions. It's smooth sailing from here on.
Any part of DirecTV? Yes, definitley. The debt!
Thank you. I'll be here all week.
Randy is going to turn this thing around. Very soon.
Google it, get your answer much faster and with all the facts and no BS from the malcontents.
We need to be smarter about DirecTV.
AT&T has control. This was just a way to sweep stink's and rat's bad deal under the rug.
The Ratty bought high and the Stink sold low. Toxic-T still hold most of the debt which did not go to TPG. And the Stink got $8M bonus for his brilliant deal!
The DTV shares that ATT owns are like the Facebook share that are sold to the public. Mark Zuckerberg has special shares that have at least 10 votes each - the rest of the shares are so diluted that they don't have any real voting power.
Clarification then spun it off so the bad performance would NOT be on public display.
DTV generated $1B of AT&Ts $4B of 3Q free cash flow. A little scare since the thing is cratering. Then spun it off so they would have to publicly display what a bad deal it was.
Video comes from the cloud. it just comes and keeps coming. Amazing.
How can we own 70% of something yet have zero control. Not buying that
ATT still owns 70% of the company, but has no control or input to management of the company which is essentially what they wanted. Not having to manage that business is a huge burden lifted off T so they can focus more on their core strengths at this point! Also, they were relieved of the employees at Directvas well as Warner Media.
Video is encoded at the Super Hub Office and broadcast to a Video Hub Office. Then to a local central office down to the node etc. Didn't ever ride on DTV satellites.
So where does AT&T get their video source from? I have it on my AT&T Fiber service.
Oh ok thanks! I was wondering why they still had the cr-p in the stores to sell! That other stuff the sell, DTV is a joke. No channels etc
Nope… offloaded that boat anchor. TPG is squeezing all they can out of DTV to sell it again to make money.
DirecTv is operated by TPG. Att does own a large portion of shares, but has no control of the company itself.
