Key Questions to Ask When Contacting a Lawyer:

  1. Have you handled cases involving AT&T or similar large corporations?

It’s important to ask if the firm has experience with AT&T specifically, as they may be familiar with the company’s policies and practices.

  1. Do you work on a contingency fee basis?

Many employment lawyers work on a contingency fee basis, meaning you won’t have to pay unless you win the case. This is important if you can’t afford upfront legal fees.

  1. What is your experience with wrongful termination and wage theft cases?

Ensure the lawyer has experience with issues like wrongful termination and wage disputes, especially related to faulty timekeeping or underreporting of hours.

  1. What evidence do you need to support my case?

Knowing what documents and evidence are needed (e.g., time logs, emails, or company communications) will help you prepare your case.

  1. Can you offer pro bono services or reduced fees?

If you’re unable to afford legal fees, some firms may provide pro bono services (free) or work with you on a sliding scale.

What to Do Next:
• Reach out to one of these law firms to discuss your situation.
• Gather evidence: Keep any relevant records or documentation regarding your time tracking and communication with AT&T.

I agree it’s very sad you have to track your hours daily and then see the company is very inaccurate. There is so much tracking I do in my job it’s very sad I now have to track my hours as well.

Thank you for the information. And for those that say “they have the right to fire you for non compliance”. The issue at hand is that IAM WORKING 8 HOURS IN THE OFFICE. The d@mn reports are so faulty they keep reporting inaccurate numbers!!!!!!

My God. When you have to screenshot every d@mn day every time I log in and log out to document the inaccuracy between the truth and the report ——. There’s something seriously wrong with the company

"T is an at will employer and can lay off any employee at any time. If not meeting 5x8 or only doing 5x8 as a bare minimum, you are at risk."

Incorrect assumption. The law is not as cut and dry as you want to make it out to be.
