HRBP's

Can someone explain to me why we have HRBP's when we have HROnestop? The market HRBP's are useless and just a fixture to show up on a call from time to time. When you ask a question, they refer you to HR # because they don't know the answer or how to help. Why have this headcount????

The standard answer from any HRBP I have asked a question is, 'refer to HR One-stop. HR is useless for the employees. HR exists only to protect the corporation from the employees.

Think of it as a corporate welfare program for otherwise unemployable members of one of the protected classes of people.

Totally agree. You can escalate things to them. Otherwise they handle monthly surplus business cases, provide PPT slides for appraisal, midyear/EOY check-in due dates and not much more.
