Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

I’m not taking this job seriously anymore

I’m just trudging along, avoiding overtime when I can, and waiting for my turn. I don’t care about the economy or how things will unfold. I don’t care how hard it will be to find something else. We’re heading into an even bigger sh-tshow, and there’s nothing I can do about how we’re treated, how disposable we are, or how precarious our position is. I’m not even demoralized – I just don’t care.

I think it’s awesome here. Making 200k and stress free. It’s great.

Sure is. Remote job working for a former colleague of mine at a regional bank. Great culture, no issues. Only downside is I took a $20k paycut.

You haven't even started your new job and you're saying the grass is greener?

I just quit. Put in my notice don't even have another job yet. It's so bad I'll go without a paycheck a while. I don't give a F.

RSRs are Restricted Stock Shares, or a form of long-term compensation. LOBs used to be able to determine for annual bonus how much to give in cash and how much to give in RSRs. A few years ago, it became a rule across the Enterprise that if you get $50k or over in a discretionary bonus, 80% is in cash, and 20% is in RSRs......25% of those RSRs vest each year over the next 4 years. So a year after they're granted to you, you can cash in 25% of them (and hopefully the stock price is higher than it was when they were granted to you), then the next year, you can cash in another 25% of them, etc. until year 4 when that last tranche of that years' grants are gone........but if you get over $50k each year then you'll have a continuous stream of RSRs vesting each year until 4 years after the last bonus you get. You also don't have to cash them in when they vest. You can leave them sitting there and only cash them in when you want to instead of cashing them in each year they vest (for example, if the stock is lower than you want it to be and you can sit on the RSRs and wait for them to go higher before cashing out, you can).

I don’t give a $hit because I have 20 years in, am retirement eligible and have a fat RSR. Give me a package so I can ride into the sunset.

Was displaced on 2/4, so today is the end of my 60 days. Terminated. Six months of severance due to me and I start a new job in a few weeks. The grass is so much greener on the other side, trust me. Having said all of this, I hold no ill will towards WF. I earned a great salary for many years and for the most part didn’t ki-l myself. Wish all of you the best…

OP.. I wish..thats easy if your boss leaves you alone or you have money to fall back on. Being actively baited makes it impossible to do as you say.
