Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

Any female leader you know in the layoff list?

Is it just me wondering about this.. Cigna has 63% women employees, yet when it comes to layoffs it is mostly men.

I think one was cognizant. But the other 2 I’m not sure. One was an American agency in NJ. But Cigna only hires from certain agencies. You can’t come in your own and get hired as a contractor.

"They will layoff Indians who are American. It’s about cheap labor. Cigna doesn’t want to pay Americans American salary. It’s easy to employ cheap labor from a 3rd world. "

Look at the numbers - they are laying off more white americans than indians.

I’ve been here 12 years.
The last woman I personally knew that was laid off was at least 8 years ago.

Interesting

It’s not about men or women, black or white. It’s about about onshore or offshore, Americans or Indians

I know plenty of women who were laid off this year and last. None in HIH though.

Echo'ing what poster above said. They laid off all on shore workers. No HIH workers were laid off. Should show you were this company is headed. Good luck!

You're looking into the wrong demographic. Plenty of women laid off today were women. How many were in India though?
