March VSP and RIF folks - Good Bye and Good Luck!

I will be leaving at the end of the week since I took VSP. Great package btw.

I do however feel for those who didn't take VSP and got RIFed even though management all along had the list to target them after. Wish they could legally get the same package as I got and get to keep the long term incentive RSU and PSUs.

I have already been approached by a few outfits trying to learn VZ culture and Frontier acquisition. I suspect something is brewing by DOGE on VZ.

Blonde HR selfie lady needs to pay attention or she will see this ship go down like titanic soon.

Stay strong Class of 3/28 - VZ after all was never the VTEAM. If it was, it would not kick your a$$ like this.

Hey Sam @dk+1jpzq9rar,

You cannot just put anything on a piece of paper and expect it is legal. Can you ask someone to give away their life on a paper and say they signed it. Good luck with that.

I seriously suggest folks to reach out to your lawyer and ask if this is legal given the circumstances. Don't just take Sam's words for it. Labor Law Lawyers can assist you better and I am sure if you post here others would like to join in as well.

Here it is for you Sam @dk+1jpzq9rar to post it on LinkedIn with your selfie. Call it from Anonymous VSP'ed genius!

I'm out on 3/28 with VSP as well.

It makes me a little sad to think about the billions lost on silly M&A ventures, stupid products, mmWave, etc. with zero senior leader accountability. I'm not optimistic about the future either.

Spent many years at Verizon and it's been a great run for me, but it's time to GTFO. For those that remain, good luck and hang onto your a-s.

@a2+1jpzq9rar bad advice. And no lawyer would take it on. It was clearly stated in all the documentation for the VSP that if you declined and were later RIFd, you would get the standard package. No case here.

I think H1B data should be interesting if you can share but do it legally. These woke companies have been fleecing American corporations.

There is NO need to have these folks from other countries still working when you are being cut. Makes NO sense.

This is absolutely not acceptable by this administration. Let me look around a way to report this cr-p!

I am also leaving as one of those RIF’ed in VGS (aka Bigger Package for Shankar GTS). We were moved into VGS from Finance with a promise by now gone President that we will be more focused and efficient. We were pushed around and cut with nothing changing. And for all the Fit to Win sc--w up by no less than a man called Manny, it was disastrous to see GTS taking over other working functions and running them into the ground.

Long planned retirements, VSP and now RIFs. I wish I could report how many H1B are here where US citizens are being thrown out for. I hope Elon comes and clean this POS place.

VGS HR is a bunch of DEI ladies who know nothing but support the blondes in HR and VGS. No merit.

Is there any class action by RIFed employees. Idea of recouping VSP and RIF package is really good one. Please update here if you know of one. Let’s Go!!!!

The company is shedding thousands of jobs, year in and year out.
Who is going to "go beyond" when no one will have your back if you take a risk and it doesn't work out? CYA is all-pervasive and risk-taking is non-existent, at least in my part of GN&T. The culture is stultifying, there are no fixes in sight.

Interesting comment about VGS. That group is now headed by a problem leader. I have never see a leader that knowingly lies to the organization and the corporation. Hans could not get rid of him.

Data Analyst or Data Engineering org is a joke. Spread between various leaders who hide and lie to each other to justify their existence. Other companies are spending a fraction of what VZ is getting fleeced of for far more results.

Our results seems to be paying leaders like VCG crook bigger package for him to announce after three years that our results will be softer because competition is relentless. Are you kidding me. Is this your transformation background led turn-around.

Hans love these kind of leaders because he will make them the escape goats and survive as he did in Eric....n. Thief and a ja----s.

What a great company and what a way to reck it. Our BoD is sleeping on the wheels!

There is much more offshoring in scope. VGS data engineers and finance reporting functions beware! The only hope is if the Trump administration gets involved. If competitors were smart, they would advertise how VGS is destroying American lives and being a Verizon customer means you enable it. But all is well with swag and DJs. Go beyond!

If I were you, and losing this much, I would pay 1/3rd to a lawyer and have VZ come to senses. Crazy that CEO is gonna make in milliions for not raising the stock price by a nanometer since he joined yet, engineers (I am assuming) like you are ending up losing their chunk of savings. Go for a trial and let the lawyer take VZ to the cleaners. Pathetic management!

Your SVP is the reason I chose VSP as I see these kind of leaders becoming my peers. VZ i so longer what it used to be before this sorry of a CEO took over.

Go for your money and to make this right for all other now and in the future.

Me too. Leaving RIFed though and wish so much that I had volunteered. Losing close to 200k which is a big amount.

Our whole group was shut down. Everyone either VSPd or looked for another role. Our SVP is terrible as she only updates LinkedIn profile and posts other leaders posts all day. Our previous leader knew each of us and our families and it felt like we were one. This new SVP is horrible leader and HR actually promoted this behavior.

I have applied to almost every open job but no luck. I never wanted to leave but VZ want to fire people who work to pay for people who just spend time on LinkedIn.

I hope our SVP gets a taste of her own medicine and gets RIFed soon. She is a dead weight.

Good luck everyone!
