Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Gonna miss Frank the Tank

I come from a hardworking background and appreciate the work ethic and removing fiserv of leeches. stock up 40% over the year and that is Frank working his magic. I know people about to complain more but those freeloaders need to find a new job bc they want a 2hrs WFH job but want to get paid for full time work. please leave

Frank would not get a job here if he interviewed, I don’t think his skillset would be adequate. He is a puppet for private equity come on now don’t be silly. His job is to be the bad guy who cuts that’s literally it, no hard work needed.

OP...I come from a hard working middle class family as well. We would often frequently visit bowling alleys...where I later ended up lettering as a college athlete. I'm glad I was able to help drive up your stock. Both my parents served in the public sector, and I lol forward to the opportunity to serve as well. I KNOW that I can slash the waste in SSA...said FB never.

Stock analysts for a given sector perform their own due diligence on a corporation's forward looking guidance. If the company has a history of meeting expectations, they may issue buy or hold recommendations. Under-perform, and they'll issue a sell recommendation. They're pretty good at sniffing out "smoke and mirrors."

For all that may be bad about company culture, morale, and treatment of employees, the fundamentals drive the stock price.

@OP+1jpzj1b6n how do you explain the fact that other companies are thriving, other stocks are up and those freeloaders are also successfull in other companies? how is that possible?

Stock up 40% great but if you understand math and how time works what little stock most people got (if you got any) wouldn’t even cover cost of living. A bonus is supposed to reflect the achievements of the year. Yet bonus, if you get one, is usually a 40/60 split with 60% in stock which doesn’t vest until 4 years later. 2024 bonus, 40% cash in 2025, 1/3 stock 2026, 2027 & 2028. Technically If you got stock in this most recent bonus you've lost money because stock has fallen, add in the cost of living increases and it’s worth even less.

All this to say that the stock going up is great if you own enough (and do you even need it then when your salary would be in the 1% anyway) but none of this math matters if you throw away everything and everyone to get there. It benefits those at the top and causes pain for those at the bottom…you know, those people who helped get you to the top.

Some of us love our jobs. We work hard and are dedicated employees, however, that doesn’t take away that Frank and his crew have been running the company’s culture to the ground. The stock prices are a reflection of the massive layoffs he has done (basically shifting money from one pocket to the other) affecting some hard working dedicated individuals and affecting their ability to feed their families. He is a horrible leader with no relationship skills nor does he have a mission/vision for this company. Go back to leadership school! Speak to some tenure real leaders in corporate america and get some guidance on how to treat your employees with respect!

Why don't YOU leave and ask Frank if he can get you a job on his new team. See how welcoming he will be. Bonuses were less than the previous year for many of us hardworking top performers and merit increases aren't even being mentioned. The stock price being up 40% is pure smoke and mirrors.

Thanks Shannon for your post, no we don't want anything for free, we just want to be treated like the professionals we are, not children, Frank's biggest problem is that he doesn't trust his employees, which is the sad truth. That is why he will never engender a culture or environment that is a winner or be held in high esteem! Instead he could easily be running a prison because at the core that is his true belief, "I need to watch them or they will steal".
