Is it a gossip or we have a reliable source?

@2m2 well they just cut Ops managers today
Hertz is embarrassing. How can a company with such a lengthy history and recognized brand be run by a group of true mo--ns. It doesn’t make any sense. Hertz has been a revolving door for washed up, incompetent, exec wannabes for the last 5 years. There’s a reason (except for a very small new) that when a Hertz exec leaves or is fired, they do nothing else with their career. Brutal management, terrible decisions, and the “go woke” with EVs mantra has ruined it all.
Lay offs of “Non-Essential” positions have begun at Corporate in Estero on a small scale within senior leadership. Expect more to come through the rest of April.
I back up the estero reliable source. The business will soon see how no one, no matter the work they did or hours they put in or respect they earned, is safe.
Doubt anyone will get laid off. How much leaner can hertz get?
Anyone that was given a 1 or 2 in their performative review is about to get let go. That is the matching orders, but only a few Exec leaders will actually do it. Leading to frustration and more questions on what the C-suite are doing
It's happening. Big change in tone. Stop spending, travel, etc messages are out.
But don't worry, Best in Class Delta will say it's all part of the transition plan and all is well.
Layoffs will happen between Q1 end and before the earnings call. So buckle up in April!
They will start in recruiting and sales again. Eliminate a few layers in ops adding more scope yo current leaders
To layoff people you have to be competent. Requires strategic thinking, planning, requires technology and automation. These are a bunch of id--ts they can’t do any of that.
So is hertz going out of business? Cant really see a company not making a profit stay in business for too long.
Do we know what roles/departments are going to be affected?
A very reliable source in Estero. There are a few Sr Leaders left over from past leadership that have seen Hertz thrive. They see the downward spiral the company had taken the last 5 years. They are sharing some very reliable info to a few of us that have known them since they were operators in the field. The say the happy laid back attitude seen at town halls is not the same energy shared at insider only meetings. They have not pointed me in the wrong direction since Kathy was here
