We had a team meeting where it was announced that the next set of lay offs would be happening soon in order to allow recruitment in other areas of the globe

The hard work still goes unappreciated. Don’t sacrifice your mental health, your hobbies, your family time, etc for working extra hours thinking it will get you a raise or promotion. It won’t.
If you still have a job be thankful, keep working hard, get up and go to the office if needed get to work on time and don't let the gossip cause fear.
I was at TSYS / GP for 11 years. I put in more night and weekend work than the entire rest of my team combined. I got let go in August via Zoom call. Everyone has your attitude until reality kicks them in the teeth.
The recruitment meaning India. They are being hired and passed around to different groups for us to train... we weren't even hiring. As if we're that stupid to know what they're doing. They'll figure out soon enough when clients start complaining like they already are after the last major restructuring. We're losing that one on one relationship with clients, now they're becoming a number like we did when Global bought us. What they loved about TSYS, that 'secret sauce' is gone and clients soon will be too. Once upon a time I got a wedding gift, a get well soon gift when I was in the hospital, a onesie with the bank name for my baby... we had close relationships with our client counterparts. We don't even know them anymore, and they are supposed to be happy passed along to a call center in India when they refuse to join calls outside of their hours? The powers that be have no clue what keeps us running. It's the RELATIONSHIPS and trust. We are VESTED in this company and they are throwing that to the wind. Loyalty doesn't matter anymore but they'll reap what they sow, we're already seeing the fallout. Y'all get ready as they said above.

BS you heard it in team meeting. They are hiring more people here at tsys why would they plan layoffs and announce in a team meeting
What team would have that kind of information? Just gossip being shared?? Give some facts. Tell the department…division you heard it from? To say there would be another RIF is like saying the sun will shine tomorrow. I do not know how my team can endure another complete restructure after losing ALL leadership in the previous one. IT IS JUST CRUEL.
I am sure I’m not just speaking for myself here, but what is the point of posting on here with such little information?
I understand the need to protect sensitive information and your identity but posts like this don’t really contribute much to the conversation. And frankly, it feels more like fear mongering to keep everyone on edge and stir the pot.
No doubt that layoffs are coming.
If you can provide some information that is HELPFUL to anyone, let’s see it. Otherwise, you’re just as bad as the CEO with that vague update.
