I’ve been hearing carat commerce hub is a piece of junk while clover has been making all the money. any merit to that?

Commerce Hub isn't even fully developed yet so how is anyone even comparing the two? You can count the # of merchants on CH because they're essentially piloting it. And how are you comparing a POS to a gateway that connects merchants to an array of products through a single integration? 🤔
Carat is vaporware

Sounds like all Fiser products lol
It’s apples and oranges. One is a device, the other is an operating system. The device can be stand alone or connected to the operating system. As for quality of both - they’re pretty good but not great. FB doesn’t believe in product development or existing architecture improvement. He prefers to spend nothing beyond standard maintenance. Of course, even that gets to be difficult as staff is cut.
Merchants are dropping Clover almost as fast as they start using it, yet Marketing keeps betting on it because of the market opportunity. The reality? Clover is at least three years behind its competitors, and instead of fixing the product, Marketing keeps throwing money at awareness campaigns for something that just doesn’t measure up.
It’s true, I’m on TCOE and anyone they fix 1 bug on Commerce Hub, 5 more show up: smh.
Clover is ki-ling it.
