Does WF monitor employee activity on computer, such as number of clicks per day, keystrokes, number of emails, number of calls etc. Then use those metrics to determine performance when deciding which employee to let go ?

To answer your question, in my lob it just came down that we have to have a specific % of mouse clicks in order to make “meets” for mpp goals this year. I think it is a combination of keystrokes and mouse clicks, ridiculous if you are in meetings daily. But their goal is to get people to either retire or quit or get let go, Charlie wants efficiency, remember.
In my LOB it just came down that our performance is mainly going to be about how many mouse clicks we do in a day. And we have to have a specific percentage to get a meets. And it is pretty high. Depending on what work that we are assigned to and since we have re-orged 4 times since last summer, we are constantly learning new reviews which is ridiculous and now we have high percentage to make a meets. Totally toxic environment and you know the end game is to either have people quit or you will be out on a performance where they will fire you if you can’t make the cut. Fun stuff. NOT.
It really depends on the group. Customer facing phone jobs are tracked in almost all LOBs for example.
They have the software to do this, all machine data.

I would be more concerned about having Microsoft Autheticator on your phone and how much time you are on your phone during your workday. IMO.
Does this apply to sleepy directors too? Probably not since they are in the all boys club.
Activity can be requested by the manager in most lines of business including keystrokes, mouse clicks. Its not used to justify performance typically as Wells Fargo would view that as time theft and open an investigation for that alone.
You don’t lick your manager you let go. As simple as that.
They have access to it and can bring it up if there are questions about someone’s performance. In most cases though, if you’re fulfilling all your job requirements and getting all your work done on time I wouldn’t expect you’d need to worry about them looking at your keystrokes. Not yet at least.
Most managers know what each employee is working on. If a manager needs to track keyboard activity to see what an employee is doing, the real problem is the manager himself.
Exactly. Trying to monitor 'everyone' every day would be overwhelming for the process and would mean nothing in isolation.
Yes and no. They can track that info, but they aren't actively using it for that purpose...yet. Currently, there needs to be an HR reason to pull up and use that data/info.
