When you interviewed for the job did you really want it? Were you happy when you got it. So why all the complaining? We had to WFH due to Ch!na Viruz and now that it is gone RTO. It seems reasonable to me. I am not complaining. I do my job in the office and when done go home. We still get paid twice a month for what work we accomplished.

Ha, your post really sums it up and I might have worked with you. I left AT&T about a week and a half ago after 14 years. I cannot believe how people comply with working for this stupid company, I mean really? What normal person tolerates a company monitoring your VPN, keystokes, badge swipes and lets this company feel like they are doing you some big favor instead of the other way around?
And yes, there are the incompetent slackers but the managers and directors know who they are, so get rid of those folks. But instead like a bunch of zombies you all follow the rules and let this company bully you around. I am here to tell you that there is life and better jobs out there. AT&T is not even in the top 1000 best places to work. They su-k.
I didn’t get laid off. I just got sick of it and found a great job and with tremendous satisfaction, was able to put my notice in to my director, who thought I was simply going to continue to comply with this bull$hit. I am here to tell you that I am 100% happier away from this toxic company. Stage a walkout people and send a message to them that they need you more than you need them.
What choice do we have? Either obey the wardens rules or get placed in solitary confinement.
This place has become a total prison, no joke.
