When I started, it was to prevent rehospitalizations, now, it’s bold gold and healthy communities, SDOH, and giving value back to the member, as cr---y as this RIF situation is, our members are getting much better benefits with the things in otc, the healthy food card, the transportation than they did years ago.

It doesn’t have to be a zero sum game. Members could be getting great benefits AND associates could be more secure about their futures with the company. Humana is making record profits. It comes down to what are the values. And let’s face it: The real values for Humana are profit and shareholder value. Anything else is just words to make the gullible feel good.

We were told not to talk about their OTC benefits. It cost Humana money. They don't want members to know the benefits they have.
I wish we got some of the benefits our members get
I'll be sure to think about how grateful I am for how well cared for Humana members are when I'm filling out the unemployment forms.
