I think the OP was just pointing out what a fiercetelcom article said. The link to the article is gone but you can find it with a Google search.
Verizon trimming fat and outsourcing a ton. It’s smart. These outsourcing companies make bank with the promise of top quality employees, yet those are just outsourced again. It’s like building a house, everything is sub contracted but promised top notch quality. As long as the paint looks good, no one looks in between the walls, which is where the issues are that show up over time. This is the best example I could think of. What’s your thoughts.
In our dept we lost two, both needed to go as the were not the sharpest tool in the tool box. Nice people but were in the wrong jobs.
What does the "investment segment of wireless" even do?
40% of the investment segment of wireless was let go. Dozens and Dozens and Dozens.
Just unvaxxed?
@zcn+1jpOywQQ. As soon as Hams said it would be done with dignity you could be certain it wouldn't.
Entire teams being let go. Not even Directors had a clue.
Wish I could take the place of someone that wants to stay. I was hoping for a buyout but nothing in my channel. I stand by voluntary rifs being a much better morale booster.
Entire product teams let go this morning (multiple teams). Sounds like it wasn’t even one on one. They put all the directors, sr managers, and product managers on a call and told them they were all being let go all at once. How impersonal. What a cr---y way to let long time employees go (all band 5 and 6)
4 employees laid off in my friend's director team.
Looks like some people in BGCO/WEHD are affected as well.
They are laying off Arizona ops people right now. Co worker of mine just called me. 24 years at Verizon and they called him on his way into work to tell him to turn around and go home. Dam
Layoffs in Verizon Connect sector
It’s swirling around that solution architects are being hit hard in wireless mid market. Also people in security sales on wireline.
@ apd+1jpOywQQ no impacts to VCG care/tech YET… as SPC continues to open centers overseas and calls keep getting routed to these sites, its just a matter of time …
engineering and NSA have lost people
If Verizon business did well in recent quarters why would there be layoffs?
HR always gets on here and tries to manipulate people. F--- off.
NO MAJOR LAYOFFS!!! Small number of employees in VGB were impacted!!!
no W.A.R.N. act filings so must not be any major centers or large numbers in any specific state
Still haven’t seen any post about indirect account manager rif. Should have happened on the east coast at this point right?
IAMs being outsourced.
Corporate finance getting the axe?
Any word on indirect account managers?
VCG Care and Tech are good and shouldn't be impacted. They're still processing NEEs and Sups are being added at the bid and being trained in now.
Anyone know of VCG care or tech will be impacted?
Four people on my team in VBG.
VBG, one of the solution engineers
If you’ve lost anyone on your team what business group are you in?
We lost someone on our team.
Seems like it was all fake news. NOW GET TO WORK.
