@ew+1jp60jtp3 I agree. Towers has no choice but to restructure after today’s news. Eagerly awaiting another mass layoff in a few weeks.
There are plenty of groups and people in Canonsburg that handle both towers and fiber. There are going to be layoffs. Period. Every mgr measured their success by how many people they have. Most inefficient place I've ever worked. Layoffs coming to towers. No doubt. People think they're going back to the excess and good times of 2012/2014. Lol - ain't gonna happen.
Towers will never go away (coming from a guy who equally worked in both tower and fiber). They provide better long range coverage than small cells are capable of.
Small cells are beneficial in inner city urban areas due to ease of densification.
Towers are also beneficial for inner city urban areas (rooftops), suburban areas and rural areas.
You do know that's not true and I don't work in towers. Go cry somewhere else, we never wanted you and are glad you're gone.
You do know that small cell is a thing because your towers are too far apart to get the speeds desired right?
Towers are becoming obsolete and with that your job will be rendered useless .

No you are right. If there was a sale they would have announced before earnings so Wall Street can review and ask questions. Now we will just report cr-ppy earnings, and cr-ppy 2025 outlook and a dividend cut. There is no sale guys.

Sounds like Zayo is putting the sc--ws to them. Buy fiber assets for 15 B then sell them for LESS than $8B. It'll either be less or they'll be getting more than expected. JB really created a hll of a sht show.

I was half kidding with the original post but this is ridiculous .
A 42 Billion dollar company can’t get its head out of its a-s.
I think this is strategic only so that DS can’t speak to investors or the street analysts. Making sure that the CFO you’re canning, isn’t on the call makes sure that they “go quietly”

So Crown files an extension request for 4Q earnings call then pushes the extension date another day 45 minutes before the delayed call, and you think Tower employees are the problem?
Dumpster fire.
The BoD needs to issue a vote of no confidence in SM… Whether there’s a sale or not, this just erodes investor trust.
This also likely means there’s going to be an investor call with no CFO… Hope the street analyst tear a new one in SM during Q&A.
