Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Great company to invest in?

For a stock price that is now the same as it was 20 years ago. Dividends that are approaching 6%. (assuming they are not cut)

How do the employees feel about it? (Reading comments here)

How do clients feel about 800 numbers? (Reading comments elsewhere)

Are their products meeting the needs of clients that are not commoditized? (I.e. can get anywhere and price shop)

What is the value add? (Other than size)

Honestly would like to know a thoughtful response.

I too would go to a layoff board and look for investment advice
Mass layoffs
Cutting the pension
Stick to your go to’s

Meh, are bank stocks ever a good pick? I've always had better options.

I've liked working here better than most places but I know that's very dependent on which group you're in, but I've never even considered owning stock in Truist.

Yes, definitely! This is an amazing company. I know some people will say, but wait, didn’t the stock price drop from $48/share down to $39/share in just the past 10 days? And isn’t employee morale at an all time low and turnover at a shocking high rate? Well yes, but we have an amazing CEO and he has surrounded himself with the best of the best! We are playing offense now!

I am going out on a limb and say this is joke because no real investor would come to a layoff message board looking for insight.

I think the stock isn’t a good investment. I would say it will be a good investment when they announce a sale but it will be stagnant until then.

I am concerned with the road ahead with the current executives. I do not see an executive community in touch with its employees, which increases turnover costs and impacts the experience level of those driving results.
