Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

The economy is tanking and tariffs will sink us

It is coming faster than you think.
Those of you here who voted for this, are you enjoying watching you 401k downslide?

Our jobs will be next. Nobody will be able to buy our stuff and it is going to become very expensive to make and ship it.

Tell you what will fix it...more women in power, more collabors with reality TV "stars", more focus on rappers and their ghetto audience, and less on actual athletes!

Sad! Nike is DONE, folks. You hate to see it, but it’s true. Terrible management, terrible decisions—just a complete disaster. They used to be great, they really did. But now? Going out of business, believe me.

People are saying—smart people, the best people—that Nike lost its way. They went woke, folks. And you know what happens when you go woke? You go broke! Everybody knows it. It’s very simple. Very basic. Basic business.

I hear they’re trying to sell more shoes. Can you believe it? Nobody wants them! Nobody! Not like the good old days. MJ, Kobe, the greats! Back when Nike meant something. But now? Nobody’s buying, folks.

And let me tell you—Adidas is laughing! New Balance is laughing! Even Crocs! Can you believe that? Crocs! That’s how bad it’s gotten. Very sad!

So, will Nike survive? I don’t know. I really don’t know. People are saying no. And honestly, folks, I tend to agree.

No one is buying Nike because the product and marketing are sh-t. All the people who actually knew how to bring together innovation and marketing to create great product are no longer in leadership. After all these reorgs and this obsession with DEI KPIs, Nike ended up putting less competent people in key roles just to tick boxes. Turns out replacing solid leaders with mediocre ones to boost diversity stats wasn’t exactly a winning strategy.

Folks, let me tell you about Nike. Great company, tremendous company. They've had some tough times, but believe me, they're gonna be just fine. Fantastic!

Nike's got big plans for 2025, really big plans. They're bringing back our jobs, bringing back our shoes, bringing back our dreams. It's gonna be beautiful, folks.

You know, I hear they're launching new running shoes. The Pegasus Premium, the Vomero 18 - amazing names, the best names. And there's more coming, believe me. It's gonna be huge.

Now, some people say Nike's falling behind. Fake news! They're just getting started. They've got a new CEO, Elliott Hill. Tough guy, smart guy. He knows what he's doing.

And let me tell you, Nike's got momentum. They're accelerating, folks. Accelerating like you wouldn't believe. New products, new innovation. It's gonna be incredible.

Remember, Nike is an American company. We love American companies, don't we? They're gonna make America's feet great again. And when America's feet are great, America is great!

So don't worry about Nike. They're fighters, just like us. They're gonna come back stronger than ever. It's gonna be amazing, folks. You'll see. Nike's gonna win so much, you might even get tired of winning. But I don't think so!

If we followed suit and got rid of DEI, we would be much more profitable.
