If layoffs that just happened were pre-earnings layoffs, should I be worried about what's going to happen after tomorrow? Are post-earnings layoffs also a thing at Oracle? I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm new here and I still don't know how things work.

Didn't they have layoffs couple of weeks ago, debunking the Jan-May- whatever thing
IC2/IC3/IC4?
Depends:
- Higher pay -> more risk
- if you Question what management says or asks -> 100%
- Heads down, work overtime(preferably 24x7), no argument, yes boss -> 50%
Maybe. I would not be surprised if they would attempt to re-hire for my position at a lower salary or in a cheaper country.
Maybe that is why I am still here? Long tenure, lower paid - perceived value?
I was IC3 when I was laid off, but I have seen people who were way beyond my IC level get laid off. The rest of my team has higher IC level than me, and I think I got picked because my salary was higher as a newer hire.
Margins are lower
EPS were down
Reduced forecast for rest of year.
- 13 Billion revenue is some pretty good sales if you ask me
Oracle misses third quarter revenue estimates.
Reported revenue of $14.13 billion, compared with estimates of $14.39 billion
Not ideal !
"layoffs happen Jan/May/June"
This is March. What does that tell you?
I'd be more worried about the possibility of a recession, and responding to the uncertainty of what the US will do next! Even Donald did not deny it could happen. Oracle will plan accordingly!
Usually layoffs happen Jan/May/June. It is the one difficult thing about working here. Not ever knowing who will be next.
IC2/IC3/IC4 which roles are more vulnerable during layoff!
No one will layoff post earnings. There is going to be 1 or 2 weeks gap. Look for big meetings and quick short calls in mornings. Double check your contribution list to project if you have anything in pipeline.
Same question here, My RSU is vesting in June, I survived last week's layoff. How safe I am till the June month?
I am from IDC.
