What are the odds with the economy and the stock the way it is now that more layoffs are happening shortly

I can not say exactly what location the mysterious woman from corporate. But it is an Ally location in the south. Some employees were overhead on their phones that they were told by theirs supervisor that their dept will not be affected by a possible future layoff in April, but some of the nearby depts might. Some sups and managers have already made an exit. No one is being told for sure exactly what's going on, and what exactly the secretive visit from someone at the corporate office is for. But April layoffs are possibly underway
A mysterious woman from corporate has been wandering around one of the offices. She has been meeting with the HR manager and a few other managers. No one would say who she is.

@sd+1jnrsm2j9 I think there are a few situations where you don't have to issue WARN notices (# of impacted employees, business size, manner of layoffs/reduction), etc. Or am I mistaken on that?
@k5+1jnrsm2j9 where are the warn notices posted? I've been unable to find them... even searching by specific states... at this point I feel like Ally is violating the law.
Given how well everything runs at Ally... I am certain that due diligence is not being done with third parties....
The 60 day WARN notice just passed for the January layoffs. Severance payments, if employees qualified, will be made soon.
I wouldn’t be surprised if another round is announced in April, effective in June.
Makes me think that when I started in ‘21 there was some rumblings of layoffs and buyouts after the “great resignation” was over. But I was always told Ally never laid off, even back in 2009, so don’t worry about it. Then hiring freezes happened. A round of buyouts happened. JB sold off Lending. More hiring freezes. It just hasn’t stopped. Obviously management backtracked on some big decisions and we’re all paying the price for their failures.
I’ll be closing my accounts soon as it is. I hate how most services are handled by teams in Asia now. I don’t want them with my PII, and I don’t care how diligent TPRM has been with vetting those teams.
