Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Sad State for Fiserv Marketing

It’s getting harder to watch. While Fiserv is laying off tenured people, our CMO is busy throwing lavish, unrelated events that do nothing for the business—except give her and her overpaid friends an excuse to party. None of them have any real experience in anything remotely similar to what we do, but they sure know how to spend. None of the spending has translated into measurable impact for direct sales.

They’re pouring money into promoting themselves on social media while people who actually keep this company running are getting shown the door. And for what? So a few execs can build their personal brands?

This isn’t leadership. It’s a joke. And everyone can see it.

Frank one said we are owner associates. We should be sick to see our company wasting money like this.

P.S. I’m sure this post will be deleted soon, as she spends more marketing energy policing her PR than delivering on results.

No one is moving, they are setting up marketing offices in NJ so the team can move between ATL and NJ. Open Posting for new corporate pilot if interested in being part of the marketing team.

They spend so much time travelling to shows. Shows they don't need to attend, that moving (if this is true), probably won't matter.

I wonder if the idea is to make them move... then RIF them, like was unfairly done to sooo many before them. The only difference is this time it would be justified!

In “ATL” the word is out that they are moving Shannon and the entourage to NJ to colocate with their primary partners.

She, Lecrecia and james will be the first moves. Sophia has cut a deal with hr where she will get to stay in ATL.

Shannon is already lining up an office like she has in “ATL”.

Many of them spend HUGE amounts of time posting on LinkedIn, building a personal brand but not doing much for Fiserv. I guess all keystrokes are created equal in the surveillance systems?

Fiserv marketing was always bad. Clover’s marketing wasn’t. Clover operates in on of the most competitive b2b marketing segments - and now it does in fact su-k - increased spend and less results. For the reasons mentioned by the OP.

Why the fu-k do we suddenly care about a department that has always had terrible results? Why are we acting like Fiserv’s marketing was top tier prior to now?

No one knows what they are doing nor do they care about their team except their own kind! The rest of us are replaceable!

It's not a sad state. It is a SAD EXCUSE for a marketing department.

OMG Mary Uslander should have been named CEO, this company would thrive with Mary at the helm. I second her nomination to the c-suite and look forward to a bright future with Mary in charge.

How about hiring a competent leader! Someone who has financial services marketing background. I'll say it again --she was never in financial services!! WTH???!!! I think the HR department is incompetent!

How exactly did she reduce marketing spend? By letting go of a lot of mid-level marketers, only to create new executive roles for her friends, which is actually costing the company even more. And let’s not forget the role for the 'spice lady' whose product was pulled from retail due to poor sales. So not only is the marketing questionable, but the math isn’t adding up either. Reduced marketing spend- haha

Since they couldn't get this one deleted, they've decided to counterattack and use name-calling LOL

We pay this person a tremendous amount to mess around and deploy our company’s hard fought earnings on her personal interests. Fly her to expensive events where there is no SMB presence. This is gross incompetence. Who thought that this level of incompetence was even possible in a soft-skilled area such as marketing?

She’s made changes to bring marketing together under one roof. marketing spend is lower now because all the duplicate work stopped. That hurt a lot of feelings but needed to be done. It ain’t perfect. Maybe you are butthurt because you were in a business marketing team wasting money getting no results. You can always leave. not sure anyone would notice since you spend most of your time on here reposting the same bs about her and then whining when the racist garbage gets taken down.

They are working overtime to get all comments about "her" taken down. Taking them only reinforces that everything being said about her is very true.
