Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Legacy BellSouth Employees

When they moved legacy BellSouth employees paydays to the 5th and 20th (as opposed to the 1st and 15th), the missing week of pay was supposed to be tacked on to your final paycheck, whenever that would be.

Is that happening or has it been forgotten/ignored?

I had forgotten about that, but there is no missing week of pay... they simply delayed your paycheck by 5 days. If you focus on counting paytubs, it only appears you lost money in the changeover. In reality, you still got paid for all worked time, but you have to wait longer to receive your check. When you leave the company, you will get adjusted pay for all days up to your official termination date.

I have questioned that for years and no one has been able to answer with anything that made sense. We used to get paid on the 15th and the last day of the month. When they changed it to the 5th and the 20th and then later the 6th and 21st, they pushed the check for the last day of December that year to January 5th of the next year. So for that year, I only received 23 paychecks instead of 24. Regardless of any explanation anyone has given me, we last a week’s pay.

Stop crying. It was included in the very first check on the new cycle.

Kiss that goodbye. Fought that with them and they denied it ever occurred.

I think you were supposed to hold onto that email/letter wherein it was explained, otherwise you don't get it.
