Which sector is getting laid off?
We already received our merit increase this year. It was in the form of returning our butts back to the office and working 9 hours on Friday to only deal with horrible friday traffic, go home and po-p, and then sleep by 10pm. My kids and wife and getting the worst of this MERIT cr-p.
Nothing to do with "merit increase", this is "inflation adjustment". And good luck with it actually matches inflation. Pretty sure for the past few years, it did not.
