"Was anyone else dissatisfied with their merit increase? I certainly was. Exceeds with only 3% increase. What a slap in the face."

20 years with Cingular/AT&T with Exceeds almost every year, and almost always a 3% raise. There were a couple of years where it pushed 4%, but that has been rare.

That's why this press release statement is so funny - "with market-based pay and benefits tied to cost of living and projected inflation data. This is true for all employees, management and non-management alike."

Lying to the press. That's AT&T.

"Does T cut a check if your merit exceeds the salary band or do you simply get nothing?"

As your pay starts to hit the top of your salary band, you just get less or nothing. A coworker of mine a couple of years ago (he's now retired from AT&T) after years of getting the highest ratings, got a 0.9% raise, even though he was rated the top employee in his Director's group. Why? He was at the top of his pay band.

I'm starting to see it. I had ratings this year that used to get me 4%, and this year I got 3%. Looking at where I am in my salary band, I'm pushing into the top 3rd, so raises will just get lower and lower regardless of how I perform.

When you look at the percent increase people are getting, just remember this statement made on August 30, 2024 (found at https://about.att.com/pages/bargaining)

"As we’ve shared, our goal is to reach fair and competitive agreements that recognize the hard work our employees do to serve our customers, with market-based pay and benefits tied to cost of living and projected inflation data. This is true for all employees, management and non-management alike."

How many of you have pay "tied to cost of living and projected inflation data"?

“Before or after inflation? After inflation, about -.75%”

Fake news. There is no inflation any longer. Trump got rid of it on his first day. Remember?
