Astronauts was the non-sensical name assigned to small number of SMEs in key roles who were originally granted a protected status during the initial rounds of site strategy moves. As time has shown however, it was a cynical attempt at flattery to keep people in place so they could keep the pieces together as the poor business decisions shattered the company around them. The "flattery" may have worked until the reality dawns--any report associate in any capacity or level is still on FBs target list for elimination. Think Apollo 13 without the happy ending.
