There is word that some tech employees within the building have a contract extending to 2027, meaning the building may not get shut down completely until 2027. Not sure I’ll make it that long. Who is going to tough it out? Anybody heard any different?

The Billings, MT Ops Center is owned by WF. You can look it up on the county tax website. The property has not been sold.
There are several departments located in the center, each will have a different end date based off location strategy for their LOB.
Those in TC saying they have a contract through 2027 are not employees of WF. They are contracted to work for WF and support roles within the Ops Center, tower, and branches.
Hoping the “strategy” is reevaluated and someone realizes that the Billings Ops Center is home to most of the people who told the branches and other back offices how to do their jobs. They aren’t replaceable, as shown in metrics and retention. Just because Billings isn’t a hub, doesn’t mean it doesn’t contribute.
