Seatless & Stressed: My Five-Star Company Review

Thrilled to join the team! In all my years, I’ve never experienced such loving micromanagement or such a fun game of 'track every second.' Who needs to focus on actual work when you’re busy perfecting compliance? Bonus points: musical chairs with no seats and restrooms that scream 'public charm' by evening. Living the dream!

lol actually everyone’s hours are way down in comparison to even just a year ago. 5x8 is the biggest mistake this company ever made. When you wake up you’ll realize stank is just using you to line his own pockets on his way out the door. HE DOESNT GIVE A SH-T ABOUT YOU!!!

“60 hours a week becomes 40 hours a week and all you have to do is show up and hangout and talk to your friends.”

20 hours a week becomes 40 hours a week. I corrected the math error for you.

Only people going to be left soon are people with a pension. They stopped doing that 11 years ago. None of the younger folks are staying. Everyone I talk with is a) has a pension and waiting on Medicare to kick in or b) younger, no pension and got a foot out the door. Some culture Stank has built when all anyone wants to do is leave or retire.

OP: you captured the essence of this company. And this would be why T is the THIRD out of the big 3 telcoms. Used to be #1 but Stephenson through his huge big mistakes (think T-Mobile, DirectTV, Warner Bros.) and Stankey through his he-l-bent attitude of complete shatterment of employee morale and productivity have sank this company to #3. . . . . Guess we could become #4 after US Cellular, just give Stankey some time.

Compliance > Performance, your boss will appreciate everyone who manages to stay off the compliance reports more than the person who just gets things done. Sad, but true. It will only be people who aren't willing to lose their pension which is set to significantly increase if they stay another 5, 6, 7 years that remain. Welcome to the new T.
