Is your weekend now ruined by this absolute rat race, sh-t/clown show? I start dreading my life by Saturday evening. And by Sunday it’s full on….well now not do anything fun today and prepare for the 5 straight days of pure chaos, noise and he-l. All while reading emails from leadership telling how great this is and that you’re fired if you go 30 minutes under 8. But please check out the new parking we have half a mile away guys….yeah!!!!!!

If you operate on the belief that work can only be done physically in an office then you haven’t gotten much out of your time at a company that actually sells connectivity solutions that enable telecommuting!!! And it isn’t even a modern concept as I was approved virtual in 2014 before this BS push “back” to the office. It’s great that you’re all in for the charade but it at least have a clue about what’s actually going on.
OP here. It’s 4pm and I’m gearing up for bed at 7:30. And hating every minute it gets closer. I get up at 3:45 and get to the office by 4:30 am so the first half of my day isn’t absolutely fu--ing heinous. Just the second half! Yes that’s how bad I hate this place and no offense to the others that hate this place as much as I do as you probably know how to act….but the rest of you really are annoying AF to be around at the office. You know who you are. The typical jagoffs that are clapping and rah rah’ing and talking as loud as possible on your calls cause you think you’re important. FU to those people!
“Getting used to putting in 40 hours per week regularly again after so many years of part-time hours is difficult.“
LOL, I used to do 10-12 hours a day from home, now it’s 8 and skate it can wait, no matter what. Fu-k you, and fu-k this place! I don’t care about RTO I’ll do it. I’m just riding out the next 3-4 years until I retire.
I hate going to the office, but like that I now work about 20 hours less per week. 8 hours a day and nothing more for this gal! It’s pretty nice!
I don’t so much mind going into the office. Except when I don’t get a desk. That really pi---s me off. But what is particularly distasteful is being treated like a child and having to get permission for everything. It’s not empowering and I reckon it will have a negative outcome for T.
"S uc k it up snowflakes. This is how work has been done since the desk chair was invented... "
There's this idea of "progress". att and you should probably look up the definition and try to implement it into you process.
If your weekends are ruined thinking about this job, it is time to resign and move on. Is it more fun to whine and cry on an anonymous forum?

You are in for a disappointment.
The complaining will never stop. One week, one month, one year and beyond it will continue.
You are advised to find another job, preferably along with other meek little bootlickers who looooooove RTO.
Have fun.
3 days su-ked but it was way better than 5. This is bruuuuutal!
If you’re coming here on Sunday morning it’s obvious that this is weighing on you heavily.
I’ve been coming here every day for the past 10 years +
I don’t know what it’s like to not come here and worry. I imagine having a job like that would be comforting.
OP I feel the exact same...
Oh you mean that broken presence report? It’s broken and doesn’t work. Only about 30% accurate.
Totally. I’ve never felt more miserable than I have the last 8 week. This company is a fu--ing joke. Has anyone heard of any business drivers lately? All I hear about is RTO and the micromanagement presence tracking report. There is nothing else going on here.
Poor GenZ is so soft. Put your big girl pa-ties on and deal with it.
Whaaah!! Next 6 months will much better read on this board because RTO will become the norm for those that choose to keep their job. The others will either retire or quit and the noise will die down from the whiners. I also agree that a lot of the working conditions need improvement instead of treating employees like cattle penned up in a corral.
It doesn't bother me anymore because I am going to retire. I've had more than enough
And the private sector is now taking its cues from Leon who is threatening fed employees on a Saturday (the weekend) to email their tasks by Monday or be fired...
BRING OUT THE BLADE! For them and their children who rub their mucus and sn-t on the Resolute Desk. OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!
It's called a job. If you don't like it go find a new one.
I arrive at the office still half asleep because if I juice up on caffeine on the way to work I’ll have to go p-e during my hour forty five commute.
OP-
You are definitely not alone!
We ALL feel the insanity.
