Wait. Weren't you claiming that RTO is the "gold standard", and now it's the "new normal"?
Make up your d-amn mind!
Most high-growth businesses use hybrid work models, while negative- and no-growth businesses prefer the traditional office. Companies save $11,000 per year per employee in a hybrid environment. A hybrid environment reduces workspace needs by 40% and employee turnover by 12%.
Our group under Lori Lee have been told we can’t leave the office before 4pm no matter how early u come in.
Non-exempt? Come in at 5am, charge 3 hours of extra overtime every single day. Leave at exactly 4:00:01, no matter what you are doing.
Working on an outage? Close that laptop.
Ok boomer
“Our group under Lori Lee have been told we can’t leave the office before 4pm no matter how early u come in.”
Please get this in writing. It sounds like a potential criminal act involving coercion placing you under extreme duress.
half-baked, baboonery jive talk is a legal term. I’m using that on every post from now on.
“ I assume all this inflexible attitude is on purpose to drive everybody out the door?”
You are darn right it is.
This is the new “culture”.
See you @ the office!
No thanks, still not doing it. Not going to happen. HR, you have your work cut out with me because you won’t be able to fire me for non compliance. I have my documentation of conflicting, half-baked, baboonery jive talk saved up for the last two years. If you think you have your bases covered, your pants are closer to your ankles than they are your belly button.

Where is this all leading to? No more work/life balance. Our group under Lori Lee have been told we can’t leave the office before 4pm no matter how early u come in. If u need to pick up ur kids right after school or leave at 3pm for a dental appt u have to take PTO. Plus they are planning on sending out an employee survey in the summer. I can save them some money right now - no need to waste money on a survey- morale is down everybody can’t wait to find a new job. I assume all this inflexible attitude is on purpose to drive everybody out the door?
What happened to “You Matter”? I guess when Randall left and JTS (aka Mr. Megalomaniac), took the reins, that was one of the first things he purged. Because in the JTS world, you REALLY don’t matter! RTO is only one of the glaring examples of that.
Money for nothing and the clicks are free
Thanks John.
Why don’t we hear anything anymore from leadership about “work life balance” ?
Oh that’s right “work life balance” is gone, that’s why.
Recent studies show that well over 85% of US employers STILL operate on a “hybrid” mode, as most employees prefer a hybrid work arrangement, citing the benefits of flexibility and work-life balance.
No. Seriously. G F Y S
Ok. Now 80%. The person is pathetic.
You’re welcome.

Who is this person quoting employers going with 70% hybrid cr-p. That is so untrue.
According to surveys, 90% of employers plan to implement return-to-office policies by the end of 2024
