Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Legacy TacFone getting pushed out?

Is it just my team or are all legacy TracFone employees getting lower performance ratings on their reviews this go round? It seems the plan is to riff lower performers soon. Is Verizon using this to get their way without causing a scene?

It does seem they hope the legacy Tracfone employees leave. They did not offer "Value" the VSP last year, but still made cuts in multiple areas while bringing in their corporate drones into leadership roles, mainly stationed in the NJ HQ instead of Miami. They definitely don't treat us like they want us to stay, so I'm deducing they don't. Just wish they would offer us a chance at the enhanced VSP.

Also, for those that say they are going to dissolve the value channel, you obviously don't understand how large the financials are for this channel and the fact that Verizon needs a strong value channel to maintain market share, otherwise Metro, Cricket, Mint, etc take more share from Verizon.

Everything of value from legacy TracFone has already been stripped away. What remains are the over-tenured, complacent yes-men adding little to no worth. As for Verizon? They’re completely out of their depth managing this segment. A write-off of that aquisition is just a matter of time, similar to what we have seen with yahoo and blue jeans.
