Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

5-day x 8h RTO to be heavily enforced for attrition purposes

So its pretty clear how next month will play, out for the rank and file, you can bet to get immediate naughty list warning, for clocking in at less than 39.99hrs , those warnings will then lead to disciplinary and eventually dismissals. Starting next week, your managers will give you the verbal heads up and then they will have little latitude when it comes to culling the herd.. You've been warned. All part of the plan.

Probably true since the goal is to get rid of as many as possible w/o paying severance. They will look for ways to make your life miserable here.

I have Tennis league practice on Tuesday and Thursday from 10 to noon, followed by lunch at the club. How am I supposed to manage that with RTO?

“ 5x8 or terminate!”

St00ges like you are in dire need of “termination”….T1 style.

Awesome -- my days get shorter with 5x8. I am not sure which tool they are using, because the presence report is inaccurate.

Some groups were getting warnings for under 7 hours. The report is clearly flagging you if you are under 8 hours so you should expect them to come down on you if you’re under 8.

“ They absolutely ARE coming after those that are regularly below 6 hours a day in office.”

This is 100% correct. I know a group of people that have already received their warning for being under 6 on average per that report.

Why are some of you doubting this?

Why do you think they developed this tool if they don't plan on using it?

The only thing OP is off about is the 39.99 metric. They won't be coming after those people.

They absolutely ARE coming after those that are regularly below 6 hours a day in office.

" How are you arranging picking up kids if both you and your wife are RTOing 5x8?"

I doubt this is a serious question, but if it is...c'mon man.

You don't know that they don't give a flying flip about that by now?

Use all of your paid caregiver time. And find another job.

Seriously, you make arrangements to
pick up your kids or get another job that gives you flexibility; which is no longer AT&T.
