Two people quit since the start of the year. Good for them, not so great for us. No sign anyone’s trying to replace them, just dumping their work on us like that’s the plan. And everyone’s acting like this is fine. If one more person leaves, we’re completely sc--wed.

Please don’t tell me you’re in control for COO? The amount of time they waste just pushing back on the simplest tasks vs. just doing the actual work… I could save the company millions. Do the actual work and stop sending emails. No one is giving you brownies for the more emails you send. And don’t get me started on the amount of time it takes to with anyone in India. We take jobs that can be done in 1 hour and make them take 5 offshore, plus a manager review and then make onshore be their QA but of course after we have a 30 minute call first where I have to repeat the statements 10 times for “clarity.” Also - are you taking my call while on a train or something?! Never heard so much background noise before.
The Wells way is now to not replace and see if the business line can do without.
The Shoreiew DC issue was caused by construction activity setting off the alarms. The recovery from the event was horrible… when it happened in 2018, red tape was not as bad as now.
Seems like you could find some efficiencies in your dept. i have added that to your goal planning. Please start preparing weekly updates showing how you are being more efficient with your time, minimum of two slides.
I know there are many managers at Wells who don't have much work to do but continue to collect fat paychecks. Those idle managers need to be demoted and transferred to help short-staffed teams. I am serious.
Things need to break badly before executives will admit they fscked up.
It took a 3-day data center outage to get the head of WF tech fired. Let that sink in... All these outdated systems were because of him, yet it took an epic fail for any kind of accountability.
