To all the people who relocated to Dallas for T, can you share your moving experience? How do you like the city and the commute?

The RTO is working as designed. The employees are breaking down and will quit soon.
I didn’t move and have a blast now. Best decision. Never ever sell yourself like all those losers that are ‘living the destination’.
The city stinks
Everyone hates it. Traffic is awful. Downtown smells and there is barely any safe places to live to avoid traffic. God speed.
Traffic north sux
Tolls su-k, parking su-ks, traffic su-ks.
I was in Dallas for 4 years. Loved it. Lots of entertainment. Couple of hours from Austin. About the same to cities with casinos.
You'll regret moving for this company. RTO and FTW (follow the work/relocate) is to get people to leave the company. I know at least a handful of people that FTW to Georgia and Dallas and they were gone prior to a year of moving. Unless you plan on making a life in Dallas (outside of working for this company), don't do it.
BRING YOUR LUNCH. Do not do commerce in or around the area. That’s exactly what they want and the real reason for RTO. Let. it. Fail.
Do not follow the work unless you really want to live in that city. The job probably will not last.
I move to el Dallas for de job and move to be near de tex mex food abundant to de employee. De sour cream on deep fried chimichanga is my el favorito.
Job is good for now with good food. I hide behind mucho chaos in el att cantina.
I wear de pancho and de el att cantina is so woke that nobody tell me “hey senior, you no can wear de pancho”
Remember the Alamo!
“Name one person.“
Not going to use their full name but I know of one named Terrance A.
Move close to where you will be working traffic su-ks.
“Happened to more than a few people I knew who moved.”
“Name one person.”
ALL OF THEM including Roy Riggens.

Name one person.
Don’t do it man. Plain and simple. If you got that letter they want you gone. If you move you’ll just be layed off within the next year. Happened to more than a few people I knew who moved.
My suggestion if you decide to relocate move east of the city. It's growing and still affordable.
Compared to most metros, traffic is not that bad. It starts at 7am and ends around 6pm. Lots and lots of restaurants and shops. People are generally nice. Neighborhoods in North Texas are clean and well maintained. Schools are good. Only complaint is the two extremes in weather, HOT and COLD. Been here for two years and we’ve had 4-5 good weeks of spring and 4-5 good weeks of fall.
