I will be laid off some time this year because all of my work tasks are being automated and/or offshored. When I am laid off, I will receive a termination package per our contract and I am so looking forward to it, it cannot happen soon enough. Most people I work with feel the same and we ain't leaving until they pay us to leave.

Will T really be willing to pay severance to technicians from any area of the country? I'm not so sure that T will lay-off any technicians since we are the people that are face-to-face with the customers installing various services for whatever their need is. I think T will just let normal attrition reduce the head count of technicians, some back-filled, others not!
It would be awesome if I got laid-off, but I'm not that optimistic!
