I mean, come on.....
The woman was told in order to avoid any additional fraudulent transactions for her to cut the bank card in half without damaging the chip and that a bank representative would come to her home and pick up the card.
I'm not a fan of any bank being responsible for people's stupidity.
Nah lady should have been smarter. I ALWAYS going into my local CU branch if I have a questions. People are such id--ts. See this all the time in ITAT.
Scammers are getting very creative. There are a lot of vulnerable people out there.
Zero reason Wells should reimburse her. It was not a failure in their systems or procedures that caused the loss. About the only thing that could have prevented a total loss was a questioning of the withdraw activity and multiple locations.
