They are animals. Years ago one of the Area Presidents was always touted as the best anywhere.. I'd see him at all hands giving hand gestures to people and basically f'ing around like it was a locker room. Seemed like a nice guy though... sadly a few years later it was announced he passed away. Its like sales for 15-20 years, especially leadership, is just too much for people. Def not a "normal" career work environment. Heck selling cars might be less stressful.
I remember back in the day when stores were persecuted for not slamming customers with VCast, VCast Music, etc. My colleagues in the Customer Care side would then get be-rated for high call in rate due to people dumping features they didn't even know they had.. was only free 3 months. Then the reps would get coached to better position VCAST video as a service the customer needed.
If you think about it .. its an entire sh1t show. Retail slams the customer... care gets coached for CIR + not better positioning said feature they want to drop. This all needs to be a spin off TV show of The Office.
Leadership is definitely out of touch. Can agree 100%. And no we don't have to work here. We choose to, and we speak up because we care.
