Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Got laid off and looking for consulting work. Any suggestions appreciated.

I know a ton of clients on my software will need outside help with the loss of knowledge at Fiserv. I'm not sure how to get my name out there. Any suggestions on how to do so is greatly appreciated.

I wish you luck. I knew of one DNA consultant in PA who was originally aligned with Open Solutions. Don't know if he is still around. In-house clients might have the most use, not sure how much access you will have to the system or database if the client is outsourced. Consider that today is the high point for DNA clients. Front this point on, that client base will shrink. As will all Fiserv cores.

Slalom works with Portico. They are a really good smart group and have offices all over

Depends if yours or Client contract contains any clause of not joining. It’s usually after 6 months you can join. I have seen at least a couple employees join a client, once straight and the second one a little later. All depends on how strong the client is and can arm twist

If you don't have a client list for your Fiserv products, try to get those lists from your colleagues still in Fiserv; that's not unethical.

You can then try to

  • check their website for job openings
  • contact their Fiserv-facing people directly to see if they know of any "soft" openings

Just don't do anything that'll trouble your conscience

Which product? Suggest updating your LinkedIn profile with the products you know and change your job title to “consultant.”
