The site has said company looking for minimum 3hrs when visiting office as metrics still being refined. Our boss just said report is looking for 8hrs minimum. Which is it? I typically stay 6hrs then work 4 more at home. If I stay 8 in office, won’t be turning anything on at home.

Wouldn’t it be nice if they could track the hours worked and not just the hours you’re at the office? Sometimes I’m so busy working from home early morning that I don’t get a chance to drive in until lunchtime. And just because I’m in the office only 3 hours doesn’t mean I didn’t put in an 8 hour day. There’s also no mention on the report that our team had to work late into the night and over the weekend for a big deployment. But nail me on that 3 hour report, because that’s what really matters, right?
If you have to ask, it’s 8hrs. The ambiguity around this is likely intentional to see who does what. /tinfoil hat off
Best advice is do whatever your boss says.
IT'S 8 HOURS . DON'T TRUST OTHERS. THEY ARE TRYING TO GET YOU FIRED SO THEY WILL AVOID SURPLUS. BEWARE!
Definitely 3 hrs. Follow what you read on an anonymous website, Not what your boss said.
Man, even as a coffee badger, i dont do below 3, still made sure i had half a day or 5hrs at the office. I just wanted to avoid rush hour man. Fck already. I didnt know other people are this abusive. Coming in for 1hr or less.
"That should be 9X5 because you take an hour lunch I am sure."
I collaborate with my coworkers like the company wanted me to so lunch is on ATT! Be careful what you ask for!
“ Do your 5x9 and you will be fine. This gives you an hour break for lunch.”
Exempt employees don’t have to take a lunch.
8 and skate. It can wait.
Anything less than 8 hours per day is part-time.

I think you gotta stay 6hrs+ a day in Feb to stay off the next report which comes out in March. I’m not sure if they’re going to expect 7hrs+ after that but I don’t know if I care either. This is just getting ridiculous.
" I bet first they are going after the really bad coffee badgers who put in less than three hours (those should be fired). Then it is the people with less than six hours."
“That's a good bet, that's exactly what is being done. Yes, the Presence Report and DRT are flawed but it's still easy to pick out the straight up noncompliance people and also the coffee badgers, and these are ABSOLUTELY the people being targeted right now. And for those of you with the "my supervisor is cool" rap- it matters not. You're not being flagged by them, it's coming from HR with notifications at the VP level. If your supervisor is "cool" then he's going to be in the same boat as you. You can downvote all of this is you don't like it, but that does not make it untrue. Trust me on this.”
You can bank on what this person said. You can also add that all metrics being equal, it’s very possible that your age and color may play a factor in the final list. It all depends on if they are playing with a full deck or if they are defying the FCC.
I’m in Dallas under Legg and was told 3 times a week for minimum 5 hours. They track your LAN usage every 20 mins to see how long you stay in office. But each group is different, so confirm with your supervisor.”
Anyone under Legg needs to document all incoming email communications with direct supervisor and above. Forward the emails to your home address as well. It would be a good idea to record all town halls on your mobile phone. It will all come in handy and make more sense in the near future.

My experience is that supervisors haven't been told any more than you have. I don't think my director has any more information than I do either.
Hello OP. So glad you recovered from that coma. We have been talking about this for a very long time already.

Do your 8 hours/5 days in the office and only log in if your boss calls you on your COU provided phone and needs something. Nothing else.

“ Why would you log in from home? Just do your 8 and skate. It can wait. Productivity does not matter. Only butts in seats.”
This is the way
You work life balance starts after you hit 8 hours. Do NOT do anything beyond that. Productivity is no longer being tracked.
At least put in six hours in office. I bet first they are going after the really bad coffee badgers who put in less than three hours (those should be fired). Then it is the people with less than six hours.
We are tracked by LAN connectivity.

They tell you 8 as a fear tactic to get you to comply, but in reality they can’t properly track hours.
