Several areas, particularly sales engineering, customer success, PSO and support, were significantly impacted by the recent layoffs. In contrast, other areas such as sales, partner team, and education experienced a smaller scale impact.
My manager shared that there is at least two other rounds of layoff coming, where the next will primarily target sales and certain parts of the product team.
so 10% of the company was cut jeez
There are reports that many teams were impacted, including our software engineers. While no official total was given, my manager said when all is done 400+ were likely impacted across Omnissa in all countries.
No engineer so far.
No one outside of the Sales organization was let go. It was their time to experience RIF since every other org already had.
