Long story short I’m looking for an attorney with experience dealing with USAA?

The EEOC is a great place to start for now- this administration will probably dismantle it
Arbitration - while not the most optimal approach- is still an angle to be used & not dismissed.
The company has to pay Arbitration Fees & Attorney Costs.
If you have a strong case, don't be afraid of the word Arbitration- it's a different process, but can still benefit you. companies usually try to push & delay in order to test how serious you are- i have heard of companies filing Arbitration fees on the deadline date or after in some cases. If you are going to the EEOC, see an attorney first and ensure that there are no inconsistencies between your EEOC claim, lawyer communication or any unemployment claims. Talking to former coworkers is not the way to go - it doesn't matter what's happening at the company NOW and they are not your friends.
Good luck!
File complaint online with EEOC and a case number will be auto assigned to it. Tn schedule interview in portal. If you dont see available date call them directly to get one scheduled. Be prepared to have facts and dates to give them and they will serve USAA electronically after you sign off within 24 hours. They will investigate if your facts point to broken laws, ADA violations especially if you are in protected class. After they investigate and after USAA provides their rebuttal if they determine you have a case they will give you a Right to Sue letter to go hire an attorney at your expense. Hope this helps.
If you are in San Antonio you may want to use this attorney https://www.jeffreygoldberglaw.com/
I was fired and when USAA fired me they could not articulate a reason. In fact I was able to get granted unemployment benefits although I thankfully did not need them since I was able to find another job quickly. But the fact is they could not articulate to the state I am in or myself why the firing occured. As a result, I contacted multiple attorneys. Unfortunately they would not take the case since I signed the arbitration agreement and there was no documented "discrimination" or other federally protected reason that I had evidence of for the firing. The perils of a right to work state is that any company can fire you for anything as long as its not due to one of the federal discriminitory rules. In my experience, I would say if you feel like you are bieng discriminated against, ensure you document EVERYTHING as once they cut off access to their systems all e-mails, pings, etc are deleted and there is no proof anything even occured. They have an army of lawyers that can tie you up in litigation for years and they bank on that fact that you are too small and whatever attorney you get to represent you will not be worth the fight. Good luck!
I am currently in the process as well for discrimination . I went through he-l with them and their unfit managers. For a company that promotes “family” I couldn’t tell.
Thanks!
It would probably be helpful to specify the practice area you are looking for. Claims? Employment discrimination? Contracts? Whistleblower?
I willl ask a friend and post info here
