Anyone have experience of the duration between declining the "job offer to move to Dallas" and when to expect the surplus letter?

I declined in October and got my 2 week letter Jan 24. Coworkers in the same situation haven’t gotten their letter yet.
7 hours
Normally, the letters come out within a month of your official decision.
I don't understand how blind AT&T management can be or are they just in denial because there is not enough work in certain areas of the country to justify keeping as many technicians on the payroll as they do? The workloads are for part-time work at best! T can easily outsource some of the workload while reducing head count. T management has never been consistent or rational when it comes to layoffs. It's more wi--y nilly than actual needs of the business
They move it around based on the workload in your group. I’ve seen people gone in 2 months and then folks extended til the end of 25 working for the same boss. Trust me they do what they want to do.
Still waiting for a surplus letter in the west since the workload has been waning over the last several months. Not sure what plans T has with occupational employees, but it seems like we're working only around 10-15 hours per week, 20, if it's a busy week!
Is a surplus letter issued on decline to relocate OR a voluntary termination letter?
You’ve already had two years to decide.
Seems to depend on organization.
Varies from group to group you really do need to ask your mgr
People in our location who said no in August were off payroll by Thanksgiving. Those who said no in October, last day was 2/6. It's generally been about 3 months, but as someone said, the letters no longer have off payroll dates so they can do it as quickly or as far out as they'd like.
If you live in New Jersey they have to give you 90 days notice by law or the consequence in additional severance.
The timeframe has been changing. Initially, Corp was giving people 6 months and that was detailed in the letter. They quickly changed their tune and stopped putting dates in the letter so your off the books date could come at you very fast.
Very soon.
