The lack of any announcement from the SLT makes we wonder if senior leadership is in turmoil right now. Shenkar has always been pretty quick to send out an email during previous RIFT’s.

Layoffs are not over yet
"Shenkar has always been pretty quick to send out an email during previous RIFT’s."
Maybe this round of headcount cuts isn't over. Communication will follow once done.
Perhaps the reason there was no email from the SLT is that the SLT have been fired, so there is nobody to actually send an email.
Regardless if the SLT is in turmoil or not, it was shameful that no one from the SLT or otherwise sent out any communication to those of us left standing and wondering WTF just happened. All the while wondering if we would be safe in the coming months, while at the same time mourning our long-time friends and peers who just got axed. That was a shameful disgrace.
Norlin's promotion to SVP of sales is puzzling to anyone who knows his track record at prior employers. His role at Omnissa further demonstrates that Shankar can't attract qualified leader replacements to transform our sales GTM. All sales teams have perpetual churn every quarter because very few sellers are making their SaaS renewal goals.
Expect new a new leadership team soon. I said this a couple of months ago, Rob was tagged before the sale was even completed as was Shankar. Did Kevin go in this round?
The situation is dire. They missed their targets, so they’ll say we were very close to the plan.
The forecast for the rest of the year is bleak. More layoffs are expected.
"either KKR replaces Shankar and his supporters in the SLT, or they continue to cut costs and try to unload Omnissa to a software vendor"
Maybe KKR is in turmoil over what to do next. Why would KKR abandon their plan for revenue growth, fire the sales SVP and Americas VP of sales, and then drastically cut our sales teams this week? It makes no sense to me.
Few options remain, given our recent financial results.
Were the last quarters results announced? They said at Omnissa day that they were unable to announce yet as their meeting with KKR had not yet happened.
My take on the situation: our senior leadership isn't in turmoil, just yet. However, they know that KKR decision makers have no faith in their ability to drive growth. Ditto with our VMware middle manager's ability to provide bottom-up suggestions for a recovery. So, either KKR replaces Shankar and his supporters in the SLT, or they continue to cut costs and try to unload Omnissa to a software vendor that wants to harvest the UEM and VDI installed base. Few options remain, given our recent financial results.
Yes, I know about the global director of sales and the whole team responsible for Telco sales
