Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

All employees should be have equal treatment when it comes to working conditions…

A company should provide Bathroom soap, toilet paper, clean working environments, clean break rooms, mold free offices, adequate lighting, a network that actually works and allows employees to be productive, windows that don’t leak, etc. Yet when you visit Atlanta or Dallas they have all of those things plus free coffee, cafeterias, snacks, and things seem fairly new and modern.

Discrimination comes in all forms and if you are in a non hub location it sure feels like those employees are being treated very poorly.

We get free coffee and pop tarts in Dallas everyday. No joke.

Seems like an OSHA complaint. Somewhere in all the levels of government, AT&T will be fined.

Go to the Dollar Tree and create a personal hygiene kit including toilet paper to use at work. It’s not that expensive to buy soap.

Since you said “all employees “ how do you give every one of those items to craft techs?

only downtown dallas where the c-suite is located is it like this. i can tell you go to Ft. Worth, Las Colinas or Plano and those offices aren't as nice and don't have all the amenities that you will see downtown.

Dallas worker here, our facilities aren't all that great... the bathrooms are always dirty, p-e and pubes everywhere reminiscent of a sports stadium. 3 of the 4 towers have office furniture from Cingular days and is very dirty. The lighting is dim and the low ceiling tiles are stained. I call the coffee "downtown bean water" and none of the snacks are free. Break rooms reek of curry and microwaved fish. It's far from what you see at a cool start up in Silicon Valley lol. Stink's tower is nice tho, it's like a luxury apartment building aesthetic.

“You can move.”

The frontline local market people don’t need to move you dolt. We do more than just sit on teams call and send emails all day.
