Anyone else been informed by their leader that there is an upcoming enterprise wide hiring freeze? Seems we are losing many good people and work is piling up to an unmanageable amount.

Isn't 'hiring freeze' internal lingo for biz going under??
You know, the titanic?
May be time to work somewhere else, don't you think??
No freeze in Medicaid.
“I'm not sure what dept you're in, but mine has been on a freeze for 2 years! We're drowning!!”
Yup. Same here! I’m a Business Intelligence Engineer within one of the departments in CenterWell, and my department has also been on a hiring freeze for 2 years. I can imagine the departments within the Humana (insurance side) is experiencing the same thing too. The work keeps piling on, and it’s impossible to meet the unrealistic deadlines. It’s overwhelming. Plus, whenever you want to take PTO — even if it’s just one or two days — I feel so guilty, because we’re expected to find coverage. Well… it’s impossible to find coverage, because no one has the availability because they are swamped with their own meetings and their own workload. It’s insane. In my opinion, it shouldn’t be our responsibility to find coverage. That should be up to our Supervisor/Manager, but that’s a whole other topic.

In certain states and departments, such as Medicaid, there has always been a hiring freeze.
When they declare a firing freeze I will be interested.
I heard the entire Enterprise meaning the entire company… But I work in clinical operations.
No, what department
