Too smart for climbing the ATT ladder or just didn't fit the mold of those corporate shamux. Did my job in about 15-25 hours per week for years. Had outside work going as well. ATT was steady paycheck and benes for the family. Saved and spent much office time studying stock market, rotated ATT stock out of 401K into other things quarterly. Left ATT after 25 years but still have side jobs going. WFH and then return to office was not gonna happen. When people ask me what I do or what did I do I just say wireless industry. There is no honor is saying hey I put in 25 years at ATT.

LOL..... To lazy and sh---y of an employee to climb the ladder... If your job only required "15 to 25 hours a week" then it obviously was a position that was not needed! Company is glad you are gone!!
:-)
I retired as 50 y.o.
Sold my company stock ASAP and put into better investments.

Yes, I'm a scoundrel but I'm away from here and a multi millionaire with a $1M house driving a Red Porsche.

Weird flex, but ok I guess?
“put in 25” means the OP spent 25 years at AT&T. That is clearly stated in the post.
It appears you need to your reading comprehension skills as well.
What is respectable about spending decades doing substandard work and failing to move up?
It’s weird that you think that this is some sort of noble act. It comes across as a lack of ambition and a lack of ability.

...what a loony tune.
Milk the cow for all that it is worth. I also steal office supplies and resell them in the web. Toners are the money makers.
“The way you claimed to have "put in 25" I would categorize as dishonorable. Please, don't tell anyone you worked for T.”
Reading comprehension is not your strength. OP stated he was able to complete his work in 15-25 hours per week. That means he knew wtf he was doing and could run circles around many of his peers that struggle endlessly.
Good job OP. I have a similar experience. I do my job efficiently and then help my friends to overcome hurdles here. Noting redeemable left at T except those I care about.
