Thread regarding Comcast layoffs

Comcast's NBA deal

Talk of a new basketball league being stood up as a rival to the NBA grow louder. If that happens, it sounds like it might diminish the value of Comcast's recent deal with the NBA and not be the subscriber draw to Peacock it is hoped to be.

IMHO, the NBA could use some competition. If it is in North American only, that could be interesting I guess. But would it end up like the XFL to the NFL. If it is worldwide, then travel might be a problem for teams. Maybe a worldwide NBA alternative could have regions, with most games between teams in a region for travel reasons, then a true world championship series among the best. Then, the world champion would really be just that and the games won't be boring like soccer.
