Stankey - 2/3 Gone By 2029

Durin the employee call last week Stankey said that by 2029 2/3 of all employees will be gone.

He also said that anything that is not profitable will be shut down and that includes govmt systems.

IMHO the company is being set up to e acquired. Who would want it is anyone’s guess

This is what they said in 2006 when my son was born, then in 2008, again 2012, in 2016, 2022, 2026 and now 2029. He is getting ready to graduate high school and just started college last month. Thinking I might actually make it to retirement.

I would not invest in this company. I dont care what the stock is doing recently. Take a look at it long term.

What exactly is revenue going to come from? There is a finite base of customers that are being churned by the three telcos. There is no real growth.

Think about the following: Everyone that wants a cell phone already has one.

You have very poor listening skills.

None of what you said is even remotely true.

He said 2/3 of the central offices, you imbecile.

It will be sold off in chunks, with all the debt left on a sacrificial lamb holding company that will end up in receivership. Stockholders rewarded with shares in the new companies, bondholders probably shafted.

Ask yourself. Will Att lose any revenue if your gone? Yes it’s how they think right now. We have the worst cost structure in the big 3. We spend more on labor to make a billion than tmob or Verizon. They are under pressure from Vanguard/Blackrock to fix this. I personally think Stankey agrees with them.

That is 1/3rd too many employees for a company that will be bankrupt before 2029.
