Leg-T was 36 months when I hired in. Was made a regular employee after 10 months. That was almost 30 years ago.

Term OPT and fiber splicer are up to 3 years and at least 1 year In AT&T California but those jobs are rarely posted. Similar in former Bell South territory.
Usually 2 years and moved to another area then resigned. A way to get around putting on permanent employees. The union has put a stop to some of the egregious violations of the past.
