Alright, how strict are they about the RTO? If I’m in the office every day for 5-6 hours, are they really going to enforce the full 8 hours? And are they really tracking LAN usage or is that just a bluff?

F around and find out
"I don't understand why they can't just make a chain and shackle you to the desk for RTO. Someone has to keep rowing the oars while we try to save the company. It worked for Xandr. "
They don't have assigned cells -- I mean, desks -- remember?
Depends on the org. I do know that Cisco was asked to tie WiFi logins to badge swipes in the ATL offices. This work was finished up end of last year.
“Was there a Arnoldi town hall recently? Also seeing that she’s divorced… so you’re saying there’s a chance??”
Yes, there is a chance for you to date someone from the cast of Wicked, creaky voice and all. Add a little green tinted makeup and a black hat and you’re ready for broadway.

Ask your supervisor
They’re tracking in Nashville office for sure .
The question to ask is how valuable are you to your team and how visible your work is. If valuable and visible, anything will fly, otherwise you will get surplussed no matter what you do with RTO. That said the department rules apply for at least 6-8 hours in office and there is a desktop vpn monitoring in place.
The people posting on here must be Gen Zers who have never had a real job.
All depends on your department expectations. For my department we are good at 6 hours. Most of us do 7 hours and finish our last hour at home. We wfh on half days and days we are doing field visits. You really need to get the expectations directly from your leadership as it varies too much.
"She also divorced her husband for his micrope--s"
She say "penetration" a lot...
“ Arnoldi said expectation is 8 hours”
…right after saying “microservices”.

I've been doing 5 - 6 and no one has said a thing. But I also work and hour or so before I'm in the office and several hours after. But I'm lazy, according to the union employees.

We all know the LAN troubleshooter method of counting. I was told by my Director the report is coming soon. Orgs may be different based on VP of what is being told however generally the line is to work 8 however the cautionary line is 6 minimum on the report. Reports will be generated from Jan 2025 going forward and yes those will be warned, written, and terminated.
FAFO and then report your findings here.
Yes they are tracking it. Yes they plan to enforce it and start terminating people over it very soon. Don’t be surprised when you get the call. Some folks have already been warned.
Arnoldi said expectation is 8 hours.
We were told that Geo tracking would be employed on COU phones. I don’t know if they’re gonna pull that off or not but they were serious when they told us. So you have to be on campus for eight hours.
Not just chain and shackle but also a case of depends for #2 dumps at the desk for maximum time recording.
They're tracking whether you're there or not. They are not tracking time in office.
I haven't heard one definitive answer, but a lot of people mention six hours minimum. What I do know is that there are three strikes and you are out. Strike one is a non-compliance warning. Strike two is a continued non-compliance warning with discipline. Strike three is a continued non compliance warning with termination.
Honestly, I don’t know.
They have tracked this for at least the past 10 years. The question is will they do anything about it?
I don't understand why they can't just make a chain and shackle you to the desk for RTO. Someone has to keep rowing the oars while we try to save the company. It worked for Xandr.
This company couldn’t track a race car at the Daytona 500.
All they know how to do is run Psyops. They want rumors and fears. They’ve been doing that for tech production for years. The problem is they don’t know jack sh-t about getting anything right and are fearful of getting sued because of their sh---y data. T=Close but no cigar.
Not a bluff, ask your supervisor to share the link for the RTO troubleshooter. It updates every hour but may take 3 - 4 hours on the AT&T network to update. It shows when you are on the internal network or external network, such as WFH or customer location.
5-6 hours is good if you a part/time employee.
It’s a bluff
