the days of big buyouts for workers are long since gone. You can look at the headcount AT&T had in 2020 vs 2021 through last year to see that the heads are declining, sales are declining, morale is declining, and of course, the brand's value is definitely declining. Why give those who worked hardest more money from a near-bankrupt company, when you can spend it on another company jet?
P.S. have you bothered to see how many pilots work for AT&T?

There was just an enhanced SIPP offer in certain areas of district 4 for outside techs.

Would be cool, but I am afraid that may just be wishful thinking

"the "offer" we have coming next is the one for network that is moving all jobs not in DAL / ATL / WA / NJ to one of those locations. notifications next friday according to sources."

If you are forced to move to a hub you might as well bite the bullet and move to Dallas. The pay scale is better there now and you are just going to be asked to move to Dallas again in some point in the future.

“ They would be smart to do this and part ways with the dead weight. They won’t do it!”

It’s at the “top”, so of course they “won’t do it”.

I just got my surplus letter in Nov ‘24 but doing ok.

Still looking for a new gig (hoping it’s not as a Walmart greeter for the wise guy who was going to suggest the same).

This site should be used more as an avenue of support rather than one to cr*p on each other. We all have the same objective to care for our loved ones and live a better life.

Be Well!!

Stop the hate already.

We are all just trying to get a paycheck and feed/house our families, live a rich life and save for a good retirement. Also, save enough to get our kids in college, tech school, or just help them on their path to success. Agree?

Why rip each other down?

Be well my colleagues!!

Someone must be feeling the heat of the feds sniffing around the DEI hiring practices. Are they concerned that if they are relocating the roles of targeted employees to another state and possibly backfilling them with DEI hires as part of a culture swapping operation, they could be subject to investigation? HR states that they are moving roles, not people, but when certain people say yes to a move the role is sometimes terminated and somehow still backfilled. Sketchy! As the OP suggests, we may take advantage of a voluntary buyout. Might be best for them instead of wondering if the feds might uncover a civil rights violation.

They have stated openly the days of paying employees to voluntarily leave are over. That’s one thing you can believe. Your only shot at that severance is a layoff.

This is the site where dreamers who hope for a severance package come to. Sometimes they get sunshine blown up their butts, but they only later are disappointed by the reality of no offer in site! Dream on people, dream on!
